If anyone's curious...

Sun Dec 9, 2007, 10:56 AM
...about what I've been doing, and they don't watch my scraps, take a looksee :)

I'm kinda liking it so far, but it gets harder and harder with every step I complete. I'm gonna take some time off it right now, due to some pending work I have to do for college, but I'm kinda eager to finish it so I wanna come back to it as soon as possible.

I have nothing to say

Journal Entry: Mon Nov 5, 2007, 8:52 AM
I hoped that my previous journal entry would have stirred up some comments, but unfortunately that didn't happen. So I'm here to say that I have nothing to say, except that stamps are fun and you should all use them abusively on your journals.

And by the way,

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Recapitulation

Journal Entry: Thu May 24, 2007, 5:19 PM
I've just noticed today that it's been over four years that I've been a member of deviantART. Though there have been ups and downs, good and bad moments, I feel that overall it's been a great experience that allowed me to make new friends and meet interesting people, as well as improving me as a person. Making "art" (I don't really consider myself much of an artist) made me a bit more sensitive and changed the way I look at life sometimes.

With that in mind, I decided to post in this journal entry the five pieces of art that I consider were my best attempts over these past four years. Even though they might not look so good, or maybe not instill deep feelings on whoever gazes upon them, I hold them close to my heart for whatever meaning they have to me. So, ready or not, here we go!

5. An Opening in the Clouds

This was my first work submitted to this website. It really got me excited about DA because after 2 hours it had been faved and received a couple or more comments. That made me realize the great and powerful community that lurked within DA, and motivated me to submit more artwork in the hopes of more comments and favorites.

4. GP2X

One of my few ventures into pixel art, this is a representation of one of the coolest portable video games ever made, the GP2X, which I happen to be the proud owner of a unit. The level of detail in this is pretty good, and I'm convinced that it is one of the best pixellizations of this video game ever made (granted, there aren't many around).

3. Of longing and loneliness

This is the only piece of writing I ever submitted to deviantART. Funny thing is it was supposed to be just a background for another deviation, but it turned out better than I expected. It also happens to sum up most of my love life pretty well, and I'd be lying if I said this isn't part of the reason it's in my top 5 list.

2. On the road again

The reason why this got so close to being number one is a pretty subjective one. Even though I do consider it one of the best photos I've ever shot, technical and artistic achievement isn't really why it's here. It's here because it reminds me of one of the best experiences in my life so far, the trip I made to the U.S..

1. The Skyline Legacy

Yes, you should have seen this coming. This piece has been my featured deviation for well over a year, and it seems only fair that it remains there. Not just because it's my most viewed and faved work, but as a tribute to this great car I've come to love so much.

...

And that concludes this week's nostalgia attack. Time to get back to FFVIII to start another one. And if you haven't already, do what the footer says will ya?

OMG a journal entry?!?!?

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 12, 2007, 2:44 PM
YES! I am alive after all. Been a long time since I posted anything here (though I did upload a couple 'o pictures last month or so), and the only reason I'm doing it now is because I wanted someway to advertise my latest scrap submission. What, you thought I actually cared about keeping you informed of my life? HAH!

It's a concept I saw somewhere a long time ago (can't remember where or when for the life of me), and I tried (not very successfully) to implement it.

In other news, some of you might know that I'm living in the US for a while now, and I'll be coming back to Brazil by late April 2007. Might expect a little more activity from me by then, 'cause right now I don't have Photoshop :tears:

My über post of forbidden goodness

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 7, 2006, 6:27 PM
I think I've finally found a way to get back at DA for deleting my prized most faved deviations on grounds of copyright infringement (granted, not totally undeserved). And best of all, I really believe that I'm not breaking any rules by doing so!

I have decided to post here links to deviations that got deleted from this site for not following the strict copyright rules herein enforced. Note to triggerhappy copyright police officers: I have thoroughly searched the helpdesk and found no recommendation whatsoever regarding links to copyrighted material. The only thing that's not allowed is posting deviations containing stuff that's not owned by the submitter, or using copyrighted logos in journal images. But neither of these is the case here.

Therefore, I'm gonna keep this journal post updated with links to some of my work that got deleted from deviantART, and some that would be had I posted it here first. Enjoy, 'cause I sure do!
